As other posts in the thread say trying to take a authorization code to have the iranian visa with iranianvisa.com is a nightmare. They take ages to answer (if they answer), then never answer the phone calls, and when they do it, they only say: "We are still waiting for the MFA answer". It's better to go directly to the embassy and wait for the visa, it works in many embassies as the one in Istanbul for example (I don´t know for people from the states or UK), or use another agency.
First I send the application form and they took ages to start the process. Then I paid the urgent service, and they promise they will give you the code in 3-5 days, but 10 working days have passend, and I am still waiting. The worst thing is that they don't even bother to answer your emails, of course the Ministery can take more time than usual, but the minimum they can do it is to keep you informed. They only want your money, that's all.
So, again, stay away from iranianvisa!!

Is there any good alternatives to Iranianvisa? i am not able to go to the embassy in Oslo twice, since i live so far away from oslo.

I think all Visa services will only be as quick as the MFA.
I used key2persia and it took about 9 weeks to get my code. But, I applied durring NoRuz, so that slowed my process down considerably. They too take a while to answer emails. But they eventually do. And all importantly I got my Visa.
Getting the code, just means you dont have to stuff around with the embassy. Once I had my code, it took 2 days to have my passport back with visa.

If you are this impatient in waiting 10 days to get a visa then don't go into the middle east or stan countries because things never work out as planned and having schedules don't work. It took me a month of going to the Kazhakstan embassy in Beijing just to get one stan visa...
I haven't heard of anyone getting anything done with Iran visas in 10 days

I have been in Iran almost ten times, and in the stans (specially Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) also, so I know how difficult it is to get the visas. But I have ask codes before, or took iranian visas directly and this time is being horrible. I have used iranianvisa some times before, but some years ago it worked pretty well, last time was horrible also, it took ages, but I thought: "ok, maybe it was bad luck", but second time it happens the same with iranianvisa, and for the posts i have read I am not the only one who had problems with them. And as I told, is not the thing of how long they take, is about answering the emails, or trying to help you when you ask them, because after all, you are paying for a service.

I also tried to get a code throug Iranianvisa.. But after two weeks with no confirmation mail or anything I just sent my passport directly to the embassy in Copenhagen.. I sent it 9 days ago and got it back with a visa today.. So the guy from Oslo can just sent the passport to oslo or Cph.. Would be easier..

I have to second what's been said above about iranianvisa.com
Despite having paid the 'urgency fee' I'm currently waiting for them to get back to me (2 weeks and counting). They also got all my details wrong, despite my having filled out their online form, and claimed for some time not to have received my money.
As a UK citizen, I have to use an agency to get an authorization code, even when arriving with a private invitation. This isnt about not having to go to the embassy.
As far as alternatives go, for UK travellers FACTS Travel in Kensington arrange visa authorization codes for 50 Sterling, and the two times I've used their service, the code arrived in just 10 days. I dont have their contactdetails to hand, but google should be able to furnish those.
Oh, and I also failed to get any answer when I called iranianvisa.com in Tehran.

Hi @ all
I'm a german passport holder and I need your help. I also have applied for an authorization code via iranianvisa.com about 6 weeks ago! About 5 weeks ago Hamid from iranianvisa.com has confirmed me that they have received my money and itinerary. Since then I'm waiting without being informed about the current status of the application process. They didn't answer on my emails until now. I have written them several times and I start getting nervous because I need the visa until mid August.
What alternatives do I have? Can I still apply for the authorization code with another agency or will I get problems then because of a double application or anything else? Are there any other alternatives? Thank you very much for every reply!

'gachapin' has now received the visa code on the 7th working day after receipt of his application fee payment. The fact that he has travelled to Iran for several times contributes to delays as it adds up to the investigations made by the MFA. The code was released with 2 days delay and he was already warned about possible delays with the application receipt confirmation message. He has been offered an extra option to cope with the delay.
Iranianvisa.com answers all messages within 24 hours. Time difference between Tokyo and Tehran (where he resides) could cause delays in our responses. Once there are several message received from somebody with the same context, the last one is replied. -
‘tage85’ : The only data we could understand from your profile is that you are from Denmark. The only open application we have from Denmark belongs to a person who has been requested to introduce a host in Iran. This has been requested by the MFA and we need to meet this requirement in order to proceed with the application. I don’t think ‘tage85’ has had any application with us. If yes, please let me have your application receipt number so that we can follow the matter.
3.’tomsfourthattempt‘’s profile and other posts says he/she is in Iran, learning Farsi. So, I don’t understand why does he/she applied for a tourist visa. We will be glad if we receive your application receipt number so that we can follow this matter as well.
- ‘natrajx’s profile could not help us find him/her on our database. Please contact us by email (info@iranianvisa.com and iranianvisa@gmail.com) or give your application receipt number here so that we can follow your application status. It’s possible that your/our emails do not reach.
