Hi.

This is the address I have been given for tourists to go to extend their visas including the now famous '15-day-o-arrival' airport visa!
The govt agency name: Edareye Police Amniyate Tehrane Bozorg
The location: Baharestan, Pole Chubi, Maydane Sepah

Tel. No. 7765-6555

Tomorrow I will call that office myself to make sure it is the right one indeed. However, if any of you guys reading this topic have anything to add or know of any other agency/address in Tehran please post your comments here. I greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi,
An update. I called that number (7765-6555) several times over the last 2 days but no one answered! but that is quite normal for most govt-run agencies and offices in Iran.Bye.

The old LP says "do whatever you can to avoid Tehran for extending your visa".

Is it still that bad?? It seems that I will end up in Tehran, when my time is up.

Also I wonder, what happens to the rest of my "original days" are they going to be cancelled? Lets say, I go 5 days before my time is over and then receive an extension of 15 days, did I actually only get 10??

Hi Daniel,

I do not know the answer! And I do not think I will find out until I go there to talk to people there in person! The problem is they are most likely closed on Thursdays which is the only day I may have some free time. By the way, I think you are right however about LP. It will probably be easier and faster to extend visa in cities other than Tehran! Bye.
