Accommodation in Northern / Western Iran

Hi, I am planning to go to see around the northern & western part of Iran in coming September and October for about 2 weeks. My plan will be Tehran -> Qazvin -> Masuleh -> Anzali -> Ardabil / Sarein -> Kaleybar -> Kandovan -> Tehran.

(1) Any suggestions of good sight-seeing spots along this route? I love natural and historical sites and hope can see some local lovely villages as well.

(2) Any suggestions of accommodation? I am a budget traveller. And it seems that there are not many recommendations on the LP Iran book (my copy is 2004 version). I have checked online as well, but again not many information available. :(

1) The (new) version of LP Iran 2008, is already and finally out, I have heard. Call major bookstores in Hong Kong to see if you can find a copy.
2) Well, there are many villages along that route. Just search this forum and read past topic and commentaries for useful hints by many others who have made the same trip recently and in the years past.
3) Why then leaving out Esfahan and Yazd if interested in historical sites? They are just about 5 and 8 hour bus ride from Tehran respectively. I think 2 days in each city will be quite fun and interesting experience for you.
4) Iran is not cheap anymore and none of your credit cards/debit cards/cash cards are good here because of US sanctions on Iranian banks. So you need to bring enough cash for 2 weeks. Please see my 'private message'.Good luck.Bye.

sorry but your itinerary is not good because you waste your time and money. for example when you want come back from Kandovan to Tehran what do you want to do? why do you set this? why the end of your itinerary is Kandovan? how do you want return to Tehran? and ...
