30 days Visa on arrival and return flight date

Dear all,
I'm next to buy around trip flight ticket from Italy to Iran.
Departure on March, 21, landing in Teheran airport March, 22, at 2 AM; there we'll ask for turistic visa, hope for 30 days long.
My travelling companions have already bought the return flight for April 21, at 4.30 AM, with an arrival to Teheran airport in the evening of April, 20.
So 21/3 to 20/4 are 30 days, but flight is already 21/4, and I'm not sure we're allowed to do that.
Do you know it's ok (because visa is not necessary to stay in airport while waiting for the flight), or not?
