A friend's elderly father wants to come out to Laos to visit her but can't (or won't) travel by train. He loves boats and would love to get as close as possible by boat - he won't be able to and wouldn't want to work his passage but also doesn't really need the full luxury package. Is there anything in between, does anyone know? So he can come here by boat but without the journey turning into a major expense?????
from usa west coast; does anybody have any experience or input; when and why? thanks.

Hi,
We will be cruising S.France in our 11m motorsailer from Marseilles to Nice then on via Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily to Tunis. Have spare cabin aboard for one (preferably female) or a couple prepared to share expenses. Have space availability for all or part of trip which will be leisurely and take about two months +.
My wife and 5 year old daughter will be aboard what is an extremely safe and well equipped boat.
Should be departing Marseilles mid April.
If anybody would like to join us please…
I am heading to either Antibes or Nice in March this year to look for chef work on a motor vessel. Can anyone recommend some suitable accomodation in either of these places whilst I look for work? Any other information or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Hi,
Has anyone worked on super/mega yachts at all???
I am very interested and would love as much information about this as possible. I am asking about anything from where to locate the yachts... preferably in the USA to the work involved on the yachts. I am looking at working as a Stewardess.
Hoping to hear from anyone with some helpful info....
Cheers
Renee

Hello all,
My boyfriend and I are crossing Eurasia by bicycle (Shanghai-Paris) but seem to have gone off-course, as we've ended up in Thailand. Anyhow, the plan is now to get to India, since we'd rather not retrace our tracks back North. Since Myanmar is off-limits for land crossing, that leaves us with only options to fly or find a boat. We'd much rather boat it, and are naturally willing to pay.
I lived on a sailboat as a child, and know how to sail, but that's about the limit of our…
I'm thinking, 40 ft Steel Slocum Sprayer, 50k with fixer-ups. How much to crusie the Bahamas or other parts for 10 years? Can it be cheap to live on a boat long term or is a hole in the ocean?
Any ideas on how to try and track down 2 boats I met while sailing from Galapagos to Marquises (hiva oa) recently? The one couple is from Brisbane and the other is a Canadian living in Cairns...I believe the Auzzies will have just arrived, or arriving anytime in Brisbane, while the Canadian is probably around Tahiti and slowly making his way to Cairns. I unfortunately never got their email addresses...I have one boat name, and the other I might be slighty off with the spelling.
Thanks
