Hi there Shippy, why dont you simply join www.crewseekers and do it for free. You can sail any where in the world. Some you even get paid for.Its worth signing up if you like sailing. Loads of fun. You dont need experience. Handy if you know a bit though. Im a Day /Coastal Skipper Myself and i`ve sailed everywhere. So Shippy what are you waiting for. Pu;; up your Anchor. They Let Girlies Go as well. You can find other sites Links there Too. Sail Safe always wear a Life Jacket.

Most ports have a marina (or several), there is a steady southward migration of yachts through the warm weather. Second vote for doing this as CREW. Cheaper. Safer. As you gather skills, there is the possibility of hopping from boat to boat plus you'll see more than you would as skipper with all the worries and costs. Let someone else foot the cost of boat, repairs, charts, marina fees, fuel...... get on board, pay for your own food AND WORK HARD. Don't have an 'agenda', just let the ports and bays unfold as wind and weather direct........and have fun.

If you can't do even half of this much for yourself, i don't rate your chances of making a successful trip. But if you are swimming in money, just turn up at any charter boat port and you will be fine cause you can afford a boat with a skipper.

You may need a small tent. A map will help.
