Woodworker on board

Interest forums / Life on the Ocean

Hi all

Iam a 27 years old joiner, carpenter, woodworker or whatever you wanna call it form Switzerland.
Well i had the idea of going to work on a ship, as a woodworker... has someone ever done such a thing, or can anyone tell me how to get started?
who can i contact if such a job is available?

I would take any job around the world.

Looking forward hearing from you

Lukas

Hello,
best to go direct to the docks and ask around, you may pick up work on a casual basis or a permanent job if its a decent boat yard. Your skills could get you on as crew as alaways handy to have a joiner on board. If you do one job well word of mouth would get your more.
