I'm a first-timer with no skills or experience who wants to sail 'round the world. Very original.
From my understanding, I need to get down to where the action is at the port, club etc. and speak to the people in the know. Only by speaking to actual sailors, making contacts and getting advice will I know my chances of sailing 'round the world.
Anyone know where I should visit specifically in Singapore, such as a specific bar, yachting club or area where I'll get the best chance to meet the right people for helpful advice and hopefully a job?

it was such a long time ago so i can't remember the name but i do remember there is a yacht club out past changi. You could catch a bus there.
Have you tried googling for the name of the yacht club, get the phone number and give them a buzz. I spent new years eve there once. A lot of the yachties there are local expats but cruising people pass through too. You could put an advert up.
