Hi Guys

Anyone could advise on surfing in South America? I'm really a beginner and would like to spend 2/3 weeks in a nice chill spot to learn surfing (surfing school?).

Cheers

If you are in Ecuador, we caught some fun waves in Montanita. We hit it in the off season so less people with some foggy/overcast days and some good surf.
It was a pretty mellow spot with a few low budget surf schools around.
The point is an awesome break with a great vibe. Good people abound.
If you are down that way ask for Eric. He and his family live behind La Casa de Sol and you will find him helping out with their surf school....He will definitely hook you up.
REAL GOOD PEOPLE!
Have fun!

Thanks Windithia

I read an article on Montanita in the Saturday Guardian newspaper in England and it sounded good. Your message confirms it now! When you talk about the off season - what do you mean?

DOM - sent you a detailed PM. Short of it, low tourists in the water is generally around May..also coinsides with foggy, overcast time of the year on this coast. Again, unreal people, great waves, incredible sites.
worth a visit..
