Sailing to Bahamas

We are an English/Irish couple, (early 30's). We are seeking positions on a sailboat cruising the caribbean for the next 2/3 months.

We have some informal sailing experience, but we are very keen to learn more and willing to help out with all duties on board. We are fun-loving, easy-going and laid back, but also adventurous, hard-working and reliable. We share a passion for the sea and enjoy surfing, snorkeling, fishing and diving. Other interests include photography, cooking and eating well - my partner is an incredible cook!

We have just completed a year's road trip in central America - we drove down from California to Panama exploring the coasts. We are currently based in Panama City (Feb 2008), but it would be easy for us to meet you in Florida or in the Islands somewhere.

We are available until at least the end of March but willing to extend, depending on where we go and how much fun we are having. (No return flight booked as yet)

We would love to finish our travels with some sailing in the Caribbean to gain some more experience and sea miles, as we hope to own our own sailboat one day.

I'm a 60 plus s.w.m. living in Ottawa, Canada. I love sailing, though little experience. Five year ago was the last time (13 days around the Caribbean).

I wonder if you are already sailed out of Florida. If so, could I join along in the Bahamas, Cuba or the Dominican Republic? Until when will you be sailing?
