Hi - this is really short notice I know but a friend of mine needs 1 or even 2 extra crew-members to help him sail his yacht (38foot, sturdy British-built) south from Puerto Montt, Chile in the next week or so, as far as Ushuaia, Argentina, before the winter sets in (voyage of 4-6 weeks).
The captain/owner is very experienced (a retired ships captain) and has sailed down the channels before, and around Cape Horn. The yacht is well-set up for 3-4 people and finances will be on a shares basis - ie everyone kicks in their share of food and diesel.
(Reason for the request is one crew member can only go part-way and at least 3 are needed.)
No overnight sailing - tie up in coves each night, and only 2 short ocean passages round capes.
