I have been looking around the web and travel sites for travelling by freighter. The thing is, all the sites I find seem to be booking the same trips. They are all on a certain level of luxury (gym, pool, en suite bath, nice meals with wine) and about the same price per day ($120-135). I keep thinking that surely there are other variations of more and less luxury, of more routes, but I can't seem to figure out how to find them.
Any advice?
I'd really like to find something from Pakistan to South Africa, via wherever and maybe for a couple of weeks. India would be OK too since it seems that some of the sites say you cannot get on or off in Pakistan, I am guessing maybe for customs reasons. Otherwise we would like to go from the Indian sub-continent to Europe. There are some routes that do that.
