Monsoons & Comp. Crew course

Hi all.... Firstly, can anyone recommend an outfit in Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia where a guy can complete his Comp. Crew cert?

Second... Like, it seems, the rest of the travelling population, I am hoping to find a crew position from anywhere in Indonesia to anywhere Australia. It's all part of my mission from UK to NZ without flying. I (fingers crossed) should have the AUS to NZ part sorted anyday. I am arriving in Indonesia a little earlier than planned (next few weeks), and am worried that the Monsoon will harm my chances of finding a boat. Is this so? Are there absolutely NO boats running between Indo. and Aus at this time of year? I am not sure I have the budget or energy to hang on until April/May.

I heard through a random conversation some time ago, that there are many AUS private boats running between PNG and the north coast. Now to travel all the way to PNG, though it may be the adventure of a lifetime, would be a little crazy on the back of a random conversation with a stranger! Can anyone add any info on this?
