Never been on cruise before--This one goes to cities I'm interested in (Copenhagen, Berlin, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, etc.)--all are 1 day stops in a 2-week cruise, except St. Pete is 2. Will this be a dumb way to see cities? Next, not sure how to choose "Inside", "Ocean View", "Veranda" rooms priced from $2,500pp to $3500pp. "Specialty restaurants", some beverages (presumably alcoholic, which I tend to consume daily when on vacation), shore excursions, gratuities & service fees are NOT included. What are they likely to add to the bottom line? In addition, anything anyone can tell me about cruises from their experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Peter

Yes, it is a dumb way to see those cities. Just what do you expect to see of a city in a few hours? The extras can add 50-100% to the cost of your cruise.

You might want to check cruisecritic.com or cruisemates.com. They will have lots of info on Celebrity in particular and cruising in general.

Have a good time!

Celebrity Cruises is owned by the Chandris family of Greece. I know them and their ships. All modern cruise liners such as the "Constellation", "Horizon", "Zenith", etc. are all well found and apart from being classed to Lloyds, they also have to meet the regulations of the US Coast Guard.

Haven't sailed on these vessels, but from an engineering position there will be no problems.
