Hello,
For those who may know, if I only have 1 week to spend in Baja, where would be the best places to stop off heading south? I would rather small places rather than big cities and not crazy party places but also somewhere with atmosphere.

No problem there... there aren't any large cities on Baja. It sound like you are driving???? You can go along the Pacific and catch Rosarito and Ensenada or inland on the Sea of Cortez to San Felipe. You will be stopped about 75 from US border and as my last experience, unable to pass.
On the tip of the penisula you have Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos, both pretty touristy. You do have to be careful driving in isolated areas since banditos can be a problem, from time to time. You'll enjoy the Mexican people and find them very accomodating.

I have driven down to Baja 4 times since August. How will you go? Drive/ fly? Also, when you go will determine what you might do.
I have traveled alone and with my daughter. Everyone will be very nice. Lots of holes to stay in as well as lovely small places on the cheap. I have a small list of must-dos but it just depends where you will start and when. I am heading down again next Sunday.
