Hi just wanted some advice on travelling with young baby on plane in June. Is it better to get seat with bassinet or just have them sitting with my husband and I on window seat. Any other advice would be appreicated. Travelled to India a few times but never with a baby. Thanks
Hi, my wife and I have 3 great little kids- 7, 5 and 3 years old.
Before marriage and kids we traveled a bunch together- Central America, Southeast Asia, India. I'll hold off on the drama but now, we are caught up in the hustle and bustle of North American city-life and challenging careers and have drifted from each other and our oldest is having major issues at school with discipline, which seems generally tied back to anxiety and stress. We have professionals telling us that he needs therapy…
Hi:
Just got back from a trip to Costa Rica, and after white water rafting, snorkeling, ziplining and nature tours, my 8 year old son says he never wants to go on a European vacation again! DD is rooting for a European trip, with art and history tours. Any thoughts on a great vacation spot with adventure activities for the whole family, some opportunities for culture and history tours, all on a budget?
Thanks a bunch!
Our family will be travelling to the UK for a family reunion in September. We will be stopping over in Singapore and also staying for a week in Italy. I'm looking for recommendations for family accommodation for 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 2, 4 and 6) in the following locations:
- Singapore
- London
- Dublin
- Rome
We're not keen on family rooms given the ages of the children and so would prefer 2-3 bedroom room hotels/b+b's or apartments (preferably with some self-catering…
Really grateful to get any information on how windy it usually is in Los Canos de Meca in june.
Looking for some tips.
We're exploring spending 4 weeks in Portland with a 4 month old, and a 2 year old. It's a 3 hour flight from where we are. I think we have most everything figured out, except how to get all the things they need from where we are to where we are going. 2 car seats, a stroller, a cot and a pack and play. How do people normally do this? We can probably drive and solve this problem, but I was hoping to save myself a 26 hour car trip with the kids.
Hello all
I am heading to south america with my six year old son late september for 12 weeks. I am planning on going to Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador/Galapagos Islands and lastly to Rio in this time. My two must do destinations are the Inca trail (if possible)/ Macchu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands having been on my must do trip for many years. I have only just started properly researching for this trip however. I am wondering if anyone could give me some idea about whether the Inca trail is…
We have a 1 year old baby and would like to do a roughly 4 week road trip along the Pacific highway between Seattle and California and then maybe 2 weeks relaxing somewhere.
We'd need to rent a RV and imagine it is will suit traveling with a baby as she can sleep in the same place each night and we can prepare our own food. We hope to camp in a lot of national parks, do day walks and visit some cool towns and cities.
One idea is to leave at the end of May from LA and drive North to…
Hi
Thank you to all who contribute here. It is such a rich resource.
We we will be at Neuschwanstein in southern Germany around 3 November and are looking to fill 16 days before Paris accom is booked from 19 November. We have come up with three options and would love any advice on which might be the most enjoyable to do with two boys (7 & 10) who have lots of energy but also love galleries, museums, libraries, castles etc.
1) Middle Rhine in Germany looks great - Mainz to Koblenz. People…
Hi, We're flying to Bali late July with the intention of going to Lombok and the Gilis and basically wandering, chilling and having fun for 3 weeks. Our family is myself, my hubby and our 3 girls aged 12, 4 and the youngest will be 20 months when we go. We'll be on a very tight budget staying in homestays / guest houses. (we're not intending to book in advance)
Any tips, hints, must do's or must don't s? We tend to avoid touristy areas. x
