We are going to Quebec City and wondering if a) there are a lot of Cobblestone streets and b) Should you avoid taking a pram to places with cobblestone streets. Any experiences with prams and cobblestone streets? Other options for a one year old? Is it too much to carry a one year old in a baby backpack all day?

MOM"
A woman named Emily renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk's office was asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation. She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. "What I mean is," explained the recorder, "do you have a job, or are you just a ......?
"Of course I have a job," snapped Emily. "I'm a Mom."
"We don't list 'Mom' as an occupation... 'housewife' covers it," said the recorder emphatically.
I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same…

Hi,
we are a family with one little nine month daughter and we've just bought a campervan to travel around Europe. We would love to hear from anyone who has done this before, on a limited budget, and who can offer any advice?? What things are absolutely essential to take, is it necessary to stay in camping grounds and any other tips would be most appreciated!

Thanks very much,
Ned and Liv and Mai An

I have a similar question but a little bit different criterion. We want to go somewhere where the sea is really really nice, possibly to dive and snorkel in October-November for 2 weeks. our baby will be 1 year old. there should be no malaria and other bad diseases, good health system, people friendly to children. we will fly out of paris or vienna. I looked at maldives. could your recommend something else?

Hi there

My partner and I are planning on having a kid soon, and then taking off to ramble around the globe for a good few years, picking up teaching jobs and generally bumming around.

If we go ahead with this, we plan on leaving when possible baby is about 6 months old.

Has anyone out there done anything similar? Is 6 months too young?

Any advice / thoughts etc would be great

thanks

What's the general ruling in New Zealand on taking (8month old) babies on boating excursions .... I'm guessing that somewhere along the boating spectrum there's a limit .... I know we can take on the interisland ferry but obviously not on surf kayaks ...but, seriously where's the cutoff? Wife and I know there'll be a lot of tagteam efforts but are hoping to do at least some water based activities together .... I'm guessing the size/stability of the boat and intended destination/weather are…

Hello, we are a couple with a baby planning on doing a two or three month trip between September and December this year.
Our son will be 13/14 month old by then. We are intending on travelling by motorhome probably in Australia (other suggestions with a baby during this period?) but are worried because of the long flight. Anyone with experience? Not sure if we shall buy a seat for him or not? Would a stop over in Asia make sence?

Thanks!

Hi there - My husband and I are planning to travel to Cuba with our then 18 month old baby. We will rent a car and bring our own travel cot. We are not interested in staying in all inclusive clubs but would like to travel and see the country. Does anyone know whether showing up at the doorstep of a casa particular with a baby in schlepp is something that is generally accepted? Perhaps someone already made a similar trip and can recommend some places? Also, does anyone know whether car rentals…
