Would like to rent a flat near seaside for a week in total 3 adults and 3 kids and do ay trips
by car.
Where can you recommend that is relatively easy to get around??
Is Spain, Dubrovnik, Portugal or elsewhere perhaps good idea around August?
Need advice on car rental, places to rent or any tips?
Need any tips offered thanx

We are planning a 4-6month trip around Tassie and the East coast of Australia from Melbourne to Cairns with 2 children ( 1Yr and 3Yrs) and would like get some travel advice and experiences. We have done smaller trips upto 1 month but have not attempted a long one. This year is our last chance for a while so we would like to make the most of it. We will not be camping but rather budget self-contained accommodation with a moderate budget. Our main concern is how the kids will cope and tolerate…

Hiya everyone.
I am after a Kiwi Traveller portable cot to beg, borrow or steal...or maybe rent or buy. In fact I'm after 2 - got 13mth old twins and we're about to begin a travelling adventure!
I'm Australian but am heading to Singapore than Europe in July - so could pick up or have delivered from virtually anywhere I guess.
Cheers
Jen

My wife and I are 35 and recently had twins. We both love to travel and are hoping to spend more time travelling with our children. We?ve been talking about how to make it possible to both support ourselves, our children and our love of travelling. We both live in the US and the social safety net here is pretty weak ? that is, we need to pay for our health insurance, retirement, life and disability insurance and our children?s education.

We both have professional jobs and consult…

Want to take the family from US to either Europe or Costa Rica. It seems that no airlines other than Air France and British Air offer good kids fares. I can do better with adult sale fares than those "discounts".

Whenever I punch in kids ages it still prices out as adult... checked with a few travel agents and all they can say is "airline does not offer kids fares to those destinations"...

Advice greatly appreciated.

Ok... my partner and I have decided to travel round India for about 9 months with our 3.5 year old... who will be 4 when we actually leave... having never been to India before I just wanted to hear from anyone who had been there with a youngster and how they found it? We recently backpacked in Thailand for 3 weeks and she seemed a born traveller, which was fantastic! I am a bit of a virgin backpacker myself unlike my partner who is a seasoned traveller... I have visited various countries but…

My wife and I, with our two boys (ages 7 and 9) are renting a camper van in Amsterdam in June. We plan to meander via towards Brittany and back over three weeks. Plan to visit some beaches, castles, museums, etc. but are trying to avoid packing too much in.
Any experiences or suggestions for fun family things to do in these areas?

Thanks

In my previous request I was looking for a vacation spot or cruise that was kid-friendly for a family that was on a budget. I'm afraid that I was not specific enough to warrant any responses. My family and I live in Alabama, USA and hope that someone can suggest a travel destination that could supply some private time for mommie and daddy while providing a safe and exciting enviroment for a 3 year old boy. We are planning on traveling for appx. 7 - 9 days in mid-August, 2004.

Thanks
