anyone travelled the karakoram highway (china to pakistan) with a child? I am looking at doing it next summer with a 3 year old boy. he has travelled with us parents extensively by local bus all over mexico (3 summers worth) but we are wondering if this is just a bit too much (especially with altitude) ? any ideas or experiences please share!

Hi, I am a single father and want to take my two sons aged 12 and 14 away from England for 5/6 days over Christmas. I have thought of St. Petersburg but could anyone recommend another city where it may be great for kids on Christmas/Boxing day please? Or perhaps let me know if St Petersburg is not suitable. We are planning a trip to SA in January (one month long) with 4 year old and would like to know is there some specific threats, issues or other information to consider?

Our base will be Cape Town and we would like to move around as much as possible. Specially look into wildlife and native villages.

My two year old son and I are accompanying my husband on a business trip to Hyderbad in October. We'll be there approximately 5 weeks. It's also an exploratory trip to see about living there for a year. I'm hoping to connect with other English speaking parents of young children while I'm there. Anyone out there??

I am planning on going to either kerala or goa with my six month old baby - I am concerned about giving my baby anti-malarial drugs - what advice do other people have - would I be better off not giving them to her? Or maybe not going to India until she is older?

We are going for a 3 month trip to New Zealand, Australia and Bali/Singapore with our 2 year old.
For NZ we are hiring a campervan but for Oz we are staying in Apartments.

Has anyone taken a toddler to Fraser Island? We really want to go but are not sure whether to do a tour from Nossa for 3 days or hire a 4WD ourselves and do it on our own.

We are considering a trip to Bali with our 2 children aged 3 and 6. We prefer non-resort style accomodation away from the crowds if possible. Ubud seems like a good option. COuld anyone recommend self-contained Bungalow type accomodation suitable for a family - we don't mind walking, so a nice walk to town through the rice paddies would be ideal. Which country in Western Africa is the best for toddlers? Staying in one place and making trips from there or travelling slowly around the country - both are the options. I have travelled a lot but not in this region.
