I've just found out that i'm pregnant (yippee!!) but i don't want to miss out on a holiday this year. I'll be about 28 weeks in July when we'd like to go away, has anyone any ideas/advice about where to go/not to go?
We don't really want to go further than Europe but looking for somewhere that will live up to previous travels in Australia, Asia & Africa...Ideally we'd like somewhere that is laid back & not developed... Am i asking too much?
any thoughts gratefully received
hello all. my wife and i are going to visit our friends in italy and we are wanting to take our kids and then head to the beaches in northern tunisia. has anybody been there with kids? any stories or advice?
Has anyone traveled to La Paz with a baby under one year old? We are considering taking the train from Arica (sea level Chile) to La Paz (4000m). Are there any problem with acclimatisation to altitude? Does a baby, still breast feeding, require Yellow fever vaccinations etc?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
my wife and i are taking Grace 9, Georgia 8 and Lily 3 to italy early july. we do not have any plans. This is our first time to europe. Does anyone have any ideas. We will have a base in Tuscany to spend a few days at a time but will need to be traveling the rest of the time. I guess we will need to spend a few days in Rome a few days in Venice. Any ideas. Are there any kid friendly hostels in italy? We would love our kids to meet other kids from around the world. Thanks for your help.
PS…
We are going to Europe this summer with our three little ones (all under 6). We have houses rented for the bulk of the trip, but will be on the road for a week in N. Spain and France. Since we will be in a different town almost every night, I'm looking for hotel ideas. Ideally I would prefer one hotel room that will fit all of us. Does anyone know of any hotels or motel chains that have enough beds or can supply cots? When traveling in the past, we've purchased two rooms - mom in one room…
So what would people's top 5 tips be to a first time parent flying solo long haul with a toddler?
I'm a single dad and I want to go to L.A with my daughter before she turns two ( I am also on limited funds) but - the flight is 12 hours ish if I remember and I'm not sure if she'd cope. Should I just take her to Ireland instead?
I have lived and travelled extensively in Central America, but it was all done without kids. My wife and I will be bringing our 3 year old son and by then, almost 6 year old daughter to Costa Rica and Panama in July. We land in San Jose, but having watched Costa Rica go downhill as a traveling destination during trips from 1988 to 1996, I hope to spend most of our time in Panama.
Anybody who has travelled with kids in these parts, I would love some feedback. Where in CR and Panama has been…
I need the "poop scoop" on diapers in Costa Rica.
I plan on letting my 18 mo. old run 'free' on the beach.... but I do want her in a diaper during outings and nights, etc. ..... Are diapers easily available, for a decent price? I heard tampons are rediculously expensive, that is what got me thinking about baby diapers.
Please inform me with what you know,
her bum will appreciate it!
(I really dont want a backpack full of diapers and baby wipes if I can help it.)
Thanks for all and any advice!

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Iceland when my daughter was 2 (highly recommend it as a travel destination with little ones). Now we have a baby boy and are thinking about Croatia but I am having trouble finding info on travel there with kids. At the time we plan to travel we'll have a 3 yr old and an 8 month old.
Has anyone been to Croatia with kids? How was it?
What should we do about carseats? What is the best way to travel there? Train, car?
Thanks
