Hi there,
My family and I are travelling to Thailand in March. Can anyone advise me of the availability of baby supplies (especially baby food and yoghurt) on Koh Samui. Is there a major supermarket on the island?
Many thanks
Michelle

hey myska itcys the man when it comes to thailand and kids. i follow the kids thread and what he says about thailand and kids is spot on. have a good trip.

We went to Samui last year with our 13 months old daughter. It was a great experience. Our local shop sold Pampers, babyfood and milk, babysafe sunscean and babysafe mosquitooil . The Thais love children, everyone loves children, but they show it in a wonderful way. Our only problem was the sound of the local disco's at night. I don't know how old your child is; we found that the canned babyfood sold are mostly for smaller babies, Our daughter ate alot of bananas, icecream, watermellon and fried fish from the Restraurant.
We brought with us chickenpox from home and our daughter stayed ill for 3 days. The farmacy on the main road at Lamai beach was excellent and so was the help from the hotel.
We rented a car for a day, and there are no extra car seat for children. She sat on my lap, if your baby uses the bucketseats you can carry her/him in, bring it if you're worrried.
Enjoy!
