Napoli with Toddler.

Any advice on travelling to Naples - safety for Mama and bambino. Heard it is a little crazy there. Where is a good area/district to stay?

Hi, we were in Naples in 2001 with our (then) 8 year old daughter. Don't believe what you hear about the crime factor there -- no worries in that department anymore, or not serious worries it seemed. The traffic is crazy as there's no traffic lights and loads of cars/motos, but in general pedestrians seem to get around pretty well. We stayed relatively close to the train station where the budget hotels are located. It's definitely a scruffy area but not threatening. Kids love Naples because of Pompeii and Herculano. Don't miss the art museum either!
