Apart from the obvious, any bright ideas for fun things to do in Mauritius with children aged 12, 8 and 5?

Aside from the regular beach stuff (snorkelling - blue bay, tubing, etc) you could go to Vanilla Park. It's an zoo with giant tortoises, crocodiles, bats, etc that they might find interesting. there are also plenty of different catamaran excursions that are fun. last time we did one off the coast of tamarind and swam with dolphins, etc. All the kids really enjoyed that. There's a tea plantation too which is interesting, but might be less so for the younger kids - i forgot the name now.
If you have boys there is also tours you can do to see the places where they make the model ships that are for sale around the island.
