Would anyone like to share their experience with me about travelling in Marokko with kids.
Our 2 boys will be 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 in August when we want to go (school holidays), it will be pretty hot, I know that
but is it easy to backpack there and what must we see and what not.
Any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

We had a holiday in Morocco a couple of years back and quite frankly loved the place. The beaches where clean, hotels where good, the food was great and there is non of the larger swilling that is all too comon at other Meditiranean destinations.

The history and culture of Morocco is an added bonus.

Morocco gets top marks with us.

I have been to morocco twice with my then 3 yr old daughter, second time her 4yr old boyfriend&mom joined us. Friendly, easy and relatively cheap country to travel, with lots of things to see and do.
Never been in august though, it must be terribly hot so better stick to the coast (essaouira) or high in the mountains. Also i can imagine the coast will probably be rather crowded with french and moroccans living abroad...
Why not go in the meivakantie or herfstvakantie?

Can I take this opportunity to ask about essaouira - just how windy is it, and how damp are the buildings? I have heard mixed reports? Would it be good in march/april?
