Local/chicken buses with baby

Hi, Has anybody travelled around Guatemala on the buses with a baby? My wife and I will be in the highlands after the new year and plan to use them for up to two hour trips with our 6 month old. The two of us travelled throughout Guatemala before baby, but this will be new. I'd appreciate any stories, advice on local travel with a baby not only in Guatemala but also in regards to similar travel in other countries. Thanks!
