We'll be in Bali this August with our 6 & 9 year old and are trying to pick a beach location to rent a villa - have found attractive places in Seminyak, Jimbaran Bay & Sanur. The kids love the beach but not huge waves - I know the wave roughness in Bali depends on location and season but would love to find a place that is not a "surfer paradise". 3 years ago we stayed in Nusa Dua and went to Geger beach every day, which was great, but it apparently has changed greatly since the building of Hotel Mulia. Also a place with enough restaurants / shops to keep us diverted but not the madness of Kuta.
We have enough time to split between 2 places. Any feedback would be great!
