Thank you all so much for your responses. We managed to get balconies/verandas in all hotels I booked, so that is great. The travel cot is a good plan as well. We took one to Spain as well, but did not use it since we had a good cot from the hotel as well. Either way: we could use this one on the beach or when there are a lot of mosquitos.
