We are travelling to Hanoi and Luang Prabang with our 14 month old son this April. At home we use cloth nappies, but on holiday we are wondering whether we should use disposables. Our guidebook says that it's irresponsible to leave behind a stack of used, disposable nappies in a developing country, which is fair enough. But I feel bad about paying someone to wash a pile of dirty nappies (particularly if they don't have a washing machine and have to wash them by hand). I also have to admit I don't relish the idea of spending our holiday hand washing nappies myself.
Has anyone else travelled in these countries with cloth nappies? Did they have any trouble arranging for them to be washed?
