We are going to Rovanemi in December 2012 for christmas, for a couple of days, and then planning to spend 2 weeks elsewhere in Europe. We don't ski and want to go somewhere that is not freezing (will have experienced that in Rovanemi) so we can get out an about with places to explore easily with a child. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go?

Thank you

Hi, well a lot of Europe will be quite cold so depends what you mean by not freezing! How about Rome which has lots to do and is generally never too cold? Or Sicily if you're happy to travel a little bit - you could maybe stay in 3 or 4 different towns/cities? Another place that would be reasonable weather is spain - barcelona can be ok in december and there's quite a lot to do and see around there. I think one of the best cities for kids is London but you never know what the weather will be like there (not even in august)!! Still, lots of things to do indoors in London which makes it a good option.
