Has anyone any suggestions of places to stay for a three generation holiday, myself, my 32 yr old daughter & her partner & their 18 month old toddler, my grandson.
We are thinking of Kho Phi Phi, Kho Lanta, Phukhet & Krabi - maybe a week in two of those places.
We would like A/C beach bungalows where children are welcomed & catered for. This is a new travel experience for us all - we would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has travelled in these areas with children.
Thanks..........
Caroline

Hi, I went to Thailand with my husband, 5month old daughter and my mum in October last year. We went to Ko Chang and had a great time! We stayed at Mam Kai Bae huts, on Kai Bae beach, in A/C bungalows with a lovely view. There were also fridges in our room. It was very reasonable, about 500Baht a night (off season we were able to bargain) and they were very accomodating. I think anywhere you go in Thailand is great because they love children and are willing to accomodate them, although safety standards are not the same as the west!
We chose Ko Chang mainly because it wasn't so far to travel from Bangkok and the season was better that side of Thailand.
A good place to stay in Bangkok is the Atlanta Hotel, its quiet, has a swimming pool and garden, family rooms, and is reasonable.
Have a great time!

Sayang Resort on Ko Lanta has a couple of ac-bungalows, it's situated on long beach. But i think there are more options on the most northern beach, Hat Klong Dao. plenty of families there i think.

enjoy your trip!

Have you considered a cruise? I've never been on one myself, but I've always thought it would be fun for a three generation holiday.

Thank you for your replies, they were very helpful - we have decided to go to Koh Samui for 12 days staying at the Rocky Resort - has anyone stayed there - it really looks beautiful.
We will have two days in Bangkok - so if anyone can recommend a hotel.........
Thankyou
Caroline

We liked Jim's Lodge. Relatively central, clean and reasonably priced for Bangkok. Contact details are in LP Thailand.
