So, I am after recipes for all things Thai - Pad Thai, Pad King for example, but there are so many floating around on the internet, that I don't know which is more authentic or better. So I need all you good people of GS to help me out here.

Then there's one for chicken and broccoli - I didn't think broccoli was used much in Thai cooking. I'm looking mainly for meals that have noodles or rice. Believe it or not, the best Pad Thai I ever ate was in Cambodia! And the meals you buy from Thai…

In the interim, I expect the following:

Ms Rash to behave herself;

Anyone had a great new combination lately?

A friend of mine was up in Maine last weekend and had "Steak and Lobster" pizza. It was fantastic. I can't wait to try it.

Any other new flavor combinations you;ve tried?

You're not supposed to keep eggs and dairy on the fridge door? I've been doing that for years. I keep eggs, butter and cheese on the fridge door. Milk on the top shelf.

What gives pizza sauce that unique taste? It's not like spaghetti sauce. I've used that before and it tasted like spaghetti sauce on a pizza.

What's the spice that makes it unique?

One thousand are ill and over 20 have died.

At first, the German health experts suspected - and went public on their suspicions - cucumbers from Spain. Not guilty was the verdict, and the Spaniards are suing the Germans.

Then, they announced the source was local beansprouts. Later, they said that 23/40 samples of such sprouts sent for testing came back negative.

How do you take your E. Coli?

Choose My Plate According to the San Francisco Chronicle:

The [US] Agriculture Department says its new healthy eating symbol — called "My Plate" — will show Americans that nutrition doesn't have to be complicated.

It takes the place of the food pyramid, which the government has used in various forms since 1992. "My Plate" is a simple circle divided into four sections that contain fruits, vegetables, protein and grains. It's accompanied by a website.

USDA officials say the pyramid…

How do you use up items in your pantry (canned goods / pasta / rice) in a timely manner? I find myself with 3-shelves filled, double-stacked, in the cupboards and little inclination to create a week's worth (or more realistically a month's worth) of menu plans to use up the stuff. Recipe ideas welcomed.

During the long (LONG) snow-filled winter months, it was good to know we'd eat reasonably well even if trips to the store were delayed due to weather. Now that it's suddenly too warm for…

Take your initial estimate, double that and add 20 percent.
It always takes more time and money than you think it should.

A friend came across "imitation vinegar" in a grocery store today. I'm stumped as to what it would be used for. Imitation vinaigrette? Why would it even need to exist? Real vinegar is cheap and plentiful. Maybe it is for people with a yeast allergy? I can't imagine anyone is allergic to real vinegar, but I suppose it is possible. I can't find any recipes that call for it.

Any ideas?
