Having friends over tonight to help me create something like this. Heaps of onions, green peppers, mushrooms, ground beef, roasted garlic, etc on wholewheat crust.

Oh, BTW- any of you know what the hell this thing is?

Thanks! I was convinced there were hummingbirds in Japan, but my ornithologist buddies told me otherwise. Pretty amazing bug, though! (Are they edible?)

Are they edible?

Egads, Coco, you've got to stop looking at this world with a culinary focus. Anyways, my guess is they'd be a tad furry.

Actually, I was afraid I would get flamed for not making a foodie post...
Off to buy yeast & flour for the pizza fest tonight!

For one second there I thought you were off to buy flour to do some tempura furball.

Nice looking pizza, Cocodrillo, and I'm amazed at that hummingbird moth. Where is this?

In my front yard, in beautiful downtown Kurashiki, Japan. (located between Osaka & Hiroshima)

Hmm...wonder if furballs are edible...(got plenty of them with 2 cats...)

Does this furball make a loud buzzing noise? And it's big, isn't it? I had one of those fly into our Japanese house (Chiba- ken) when the screen doors were pulled right back. It sounded like a miniature bomber. Everyone made a run for the garden.

(starting to learn Japanese this week at my local university!)
