Kasundi !!! nothing - french nor american nor brit - comes close to kasundi's kick

If you want kick from a mustardy sauce, try Matouk's Calypso Sauce from Trinidad. Don't spill it on a painted surface or it will blister.

Miz... Kasundi is indeed spectacular .... but I wouldn't call it a mustard sauce... sure there's mustard seeds in there ... but there's also tomato, apple and an insane ammount of chilli which seems to mellow and mature with age ... but still has a kick to excite ( a bit like meself on a good day)

I have a friend who makes it for me and its wonderful . We had lots of it last year and Bill decanted some into a small jar to enter it into the local church flower show ....( think bake offs and country women who attend church and make killer scones)
The look on the judges' faces was worth bottling itself.... they awarded it a charitable 2nd prize after a watery cucmber relish.

Can't say I'd ever heard of it. The descriptions of it cal it at "chutney" or "relish" not a "mustard sauce." Recipe

@ phil not all kasundis have tomatoe or apple or green mangoes. so are just mustard and spices. I made a dip by adding cream cheese, mayo, dollops of kasundi and chilli flakes. It was a hige HIT!
