Sparkling wine of the week - has to be (surely, unless you know different - of course)....
Aldi Australian Chardonnay £6. Half the price of their cheapest total slop champers - and 1% stronger. Hic-burp.

Oh I have had many a hangover as a result of aldi and their heinously cheap liquor

I think their sparkling chardonnay should be good. It doesn't say whether it's blended or not - but for sure, the champers will be.
I believe it's the blend that causes the headache - not the price.

University induced poverty and $6 bottles of chardonay here in aus... It might have something to do with the price... it isn't a bad drop though most of the aldi stuff is decent

Is that also with bubbles?

Yep! I wouldn't say it is the best sparkling white I've had but on a purely price to quality ratio I'd say it's one of the better ones out there. We're pretty lucky to be spoilt for choice with wine these days though.

You chaps are so lucky to get reasonably drinkable wine(Champs/sparkling at that) for only around 6 quid a bottle.I'm so jealous:))
Over here in SE Asia with the stupidly high alcohol tax even a cheap, crappy plonk from Chili,Spain,Italy,Portugal cost at least 9 or 10 quid.

That reminds me. We have a bottle of peach sparkling wine we were going to drink on our wedding anniversary and never got around to. Hmmmmm
