... the GS Awards - so I looked up 2010's.
There were many grateful recipients last year, as you probably don't recall.
Drovers Dawg and Nutrax shared the top award, that of GS Personality of the Year 2010. Mr Dawg got it primarily for wit; Ms Nutrax for excellence in research. But they got it for other highly commendable characteristics too.
The awards are made in late December, but before Christmas. (Being sensitive to all religious festivals, they are made before, and after, myriad non Christian ones. However - last year, Black, atheist, lesbian, wheel-chair users with 10 children and syphilis were under-represented in the awards; as part of our 'continuous improvisation' policy, we welcome nominations for "these people").
