Interest forums / Get Stuffed

And I've just demolished the entire contents of a 500g tub of New Zealand garlic and chili green lip mussels. At 12 noon I have a meeting with some clown who desperately wants me to buy some advertising space in his publication. I don't imagine for one minute he'll stick around for very long however as I intend to get up close and personal. As an added precaution I'm about to launch myself into some nicely aged blue vein cheese.

Don't try this at home, folks. This man is a professional.

I've mastered the art of appearing interested while being totally and utterly zoned out of the sales spiel at the same time. Talk about coincidences. He initiated the softening up process by flicking me a bottle of - New Zealand Montana sauvignon blanc of which I am now about two thirds through. I'm not sure how he was handling the temporary garlic/ cheese halitosis trip but eventually he hit me with the tried and tested - but you'll only need x amount of punters to grace your doorway and you'll easily recoup the x amount of dollars outlayed. I said - fantastic, I'll monitor the situation and see how well your publication is received in the industry and I'll review the situation before going to press next year. Couldn't be fairer than that.

Food related. Kiwi wine and seafood. Very nice.

I doubt he would have hung around for too long regardless, don't know why but I just know I'm right. I also imagine the blue cheese reminds you of your legs. Am I right pops, am I, oh do say I am?

Thanks Mockchoc

Well look who's crawled out of the primordial slime @#7. It's the ever illuminating, ambidextrous, William. How's it hangin' old boy? You out on day release with privileges? You should pop in more often as your idiocy is well missed around these parts. Don't be shy now.
Quote

I also imagine the blue cheese reminds you of your legs.

No, considering the amount of scrumpy you consume the first thing I thought of when I looked at the cheese was your honker, Bonker.

DD - I'm guessing you were aware of the freebie attached to the spiel otherwise he wouldn't have got a foot in the door.

What can I say, Sugoi? I'm a sucker for geeks bearing gifts. You suffer in silence and nod in the appropriate places hoping you've made a good show of it. It's the least I could do.
