I have pasta, rice, etc, lots of spices, two rump steaks (but I don't want to do just grilled steak), frozen prawns, tinned tuna and on the veg front onions, carrots, tomatoes, celery, aubergines, corn and some on-its-last-legs lettuce.

Please inspire me?

Maybe a Tex-Mex meal? Marinate the rump steak in a fajita seasoning mix for at least an hour before grilling - one suggested list of spices here . Thin slice on diagonal to serve. Serve with Spanish Rice, one recipe [here | http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/spanish_rice/} and a shredded lettuce salad topped with grilled (stovetop skillet works fine) corn & diced fresh tomatoes.

Take your initial estimate, double that and add 20 percent.
It always takes more time and money than you think it should.

Another direction - Mid-Eastern dinner -

Baba ganoush uses your eggplant / aubegines - recipe

Make steak into beef gyros meat - recipe

Cucumber sauce is essential for this meal, I think, but cucumber isn't in your list of on-hand ingredients

Make/buy pita bread

Mid-East rice with raisins could be a tasty side recipe alternate recipe here

Make a curry sauce with the onions, tomatoes, aubergines and spices. Add the thinly sliced rump and cook. Serve with rice. (If you want to stir a few defrosted prawns through for a minute or so at the end for a 'surf and turf' approach, be my guest.)

P.S. Ditch the lettuce.

Wok stir fry all the veg in a little garlic powder and sugar - then toss in the already boiled rice and mix the whole thing together.
Dip the prawns in a little egg and rice flower, shallow fry - then throw 'em in the rice.
Grill the rump steaks in a lightly salted olive oil (not E.V.) and serve them on the top of the stir fry.
I'd lose the tuna and lettuce.

pound beef to 1/4 inch or less. make a stuffing from some old bread and use your spices. make a quick marinara sauce and serve over pasta. dont forget a bottle of good wine to go with the stuffed beef. oh minor detail- put a layer of stuffing on the beef and roll it tie with string or tooth pics and pan fry in a little olive oil then finish in the red sauce. or you could bake it after browning it in a pan

Some great ideas there, thanks. The lettuce is already in the recycling ;-)

You could fatten up the rabbit and prepare a "Two 4 One" at the same time.

You could also make a hot pot "steam boat"/fondue by slicing the beef, tuna, prawns vegetables and herbs in stock flavoured with the spices you prefer.
Dice some of the garlic finely and saute lightly until fragrant in a bit of oil to add to the soup stew.Serve with boiled/steamed rice or pasta syle flay noodles.
Can feed a multitude of family and friends with all stuff you have.
