Mmmmmmm. We had digestive biscuits left over from making cheesecake (chocolate one, lovely!) and taking a trip down memory lane Mr T made the drink that his mum used to make him for an afterschool snack. I am addicted they are lovely!

Per person:

1 chopped apple
1 chopped banana
3 digestive biscuits
fresh orange juice to cover everything

Whizz all together with the hand blender.

Anyone else got any childhood treats that they are willing to share?

a glass of milk with a glug of pomegranate syrup/cordial.

a soupspoonful of condensed milk.

potatoes quickly mashed with "gala" spreadable cheese (creamier than st moret, but that type of fresh spreadable cheese - guess you could use philadelphia)

Diploma sandwiches -- soft white bread, crusts removed, spread with softened cream cheese (sprinkle of dried chives, optional) then rolled up - log-like.

Ants on a log -- celery cut into 3-inch pieces, filled with peanut butter or cream cheese, topped with 3 or 4 raisins.

Church windows - melted chocolate chips, cooled slightly, stir in colorful miniature marshmallows, form into a roll and wrap in waxed paper. Chill. Slice.

Take your initial estimate, double that and add 20 percent.
It always takes more time and money than you think it should.

Whilst liking tilly, usually, this manifestation of insanity does not appeal.
