Anyway, enjoy your time in Edinburgh, my beloved home town. Would you have visited the Hebrides Bar at the foot o Cockburn street? Its where my Grandfather who was from Lewis used to go to speak with other Gaels, and also in Island Scots dialect. I am not sure if it still has that sort of atmosphere these days but they do serve decent beers by all accounts.
