Does anybody know if they will require an onward ticket when we arrive in Ecuador. We are from South Africa, and want to travel through South America for a year, so the return tickets will only be for the end of 2008.
Will they accept it if we buy a bus ticket to leave Ecuador for Peru before 90 days are up, or do we have to produce an onward plane ticket?

I've got plans for a pan (well, pan-ish) Eurasian trip that will take from 2-3 months to complete.
To make it easier to plan and organise I've split it up into sections.
1. Europe: InterRail Europe for 1 month, beginning on the Eurostar to Brussels or Paris.
2. Russia: Trans-Siberian from Moscow to Beijing.
3. China: Beijing, Shanghai and perhaps Hong Kong.
4. Japan: Japan Rail Pass (not decided time period yet).
5. Flight home.
