Thanks Toadof for the reply. You seem to be very knowledgeable about Africa. Don't make trouble to tell me what in your opinion, and according to your knowledge would be a feasible route. And which areas to be avoided.

I know the prices to go to Antarctica, are frightening. In fact, I had already passed the desire. And so, as I have already said, it is illegal to enter into Alaska from Siberia.

To visit the Kurdish part of Iraq, but I have to enter from Turkey, but if the visa is issued, how is that possible?

We are born to dream.

it's so difficult to obtain a visa to Ghana?

The only recent report I know of someone who got it recently on the road was of someone who lived in a tiny Caribbean island with no embassy of Ghana at all... and he had to insist because the first answer he got was he had to have gotten it in his home country. You can consult his report in the Africa branch... if you are able to find it (not always easy).

The Ethiopia-Sudan-Egypt way, you can do it without any problems?

Right now, yes. You won't be passing problematic areas of Sudan. Not sure how's the process to obtain a visa for Sudan in Ethiopia though. It would be a good idea to ask for info about it just in case it would be difficult (or impossible) to get it in Ethiopia.

if impossible to get into Iraq, should necessarily pass from Syria to go to Turkey. Or from Tel Aviv to take a ship / ferry and go to Turkey. And then go to Iran (given the problems on the border between Turkey and Armenia).

To cross Syria isn't an option at the moment (or, if it were, it wouldn't be an advisable one). Ferries routes in that area can change so I don't know what would be available by the time you'll reach it. You could look for ferries from Israel (not necessarily Tel Aviv) to Turkey, if you didn't find them, you could look for ferries from Israel to Cyprus (some years available, others unavailable) once in Cyprus go to the North and take a ferry to Turkey. If they previous options don't work, you could backtrack till Egypt and look for ferries out of Egypt... BTW, don't forget if you get an Israel stamp you'll be denied entry in some countries (like Syria or Iran).
Stay tunned to the news regarding Iran on your travel dates. Recently, it seems (some people said/suggested) they weren't allowing overland entry to foreigners...
The border between Turkey and Armenia is closed by you can go from Turkey to Georgia and from Georgia to Armenia. You could also go from Turkey to Georgia, from Georgia to Azerbaijan and from Azerbaijan accross the Caspian to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan..., just in case you needed to avoid Iran.

If I remember correctly you can not enter China from Tajikistan, right?

That's expected to change very soon. The border has been declared international but it seems the Chinese haven't implemented it yet... Maybe on your travel dates you could be able to cross it... Stay tunned.

tramp, for Africa I would go something along these lines

Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, DRC, Angola, Namibia, S. Africa, Lesotho, S. Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt.

Of course this is all depending on the political situation. If, for instance, Mali is ok, once more, I'd definitely include that. Similarly if C.A.R. is ok I'd go Cameroon into C.A.R (Dzanga Sangha), Congo.

Another alternative would be Tanzania-Kenya-Uganda-Rwanda-Uganda-S. Sudan - Ethiopia.

Also Ethiopia - Somaliland-Djibuti-Ethiopia

Or Benin-Burkina Faso - Niger-Chad - Cameroon.....

Really all depends on the politics and security of various countries. The initial route is mostly OK at the moment. Visas for Angola and Sudan can be problematic.

Hi guys , sorry for my absence , I'm back after a few months postponed the trip due to work .

Below is the route that I decided to follow : Morocco , Mauritania, Senegal , Mali, Burkina Faso , Benin, Nigeria , Cameroon , Gabon / Congo, Angola , Namibia, Botswana , South Africa , Mozambique , Zimbabwe, Zambia , Malawi, Tanzania , Kenya , Ehtiopia , South Sudan , Egypt.

I deepened the critical points of the trip and I have come to some conclusions :
- The journey in afrika apparently everything seems feasible, the only points on which I have some doubts are the switching from Cameroon to Congo and followed the Congo - Angola , and finally Ethiopia - Sudan ?

Continuing : Isreaele / Jordan, then take a ferry towards Cyprus / Turkey. Then Turkey, Georgia , Azerbaijan, and take a ferry from Baku direction Turkmenistan or Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan , then follow , Kyrgyzstan, China through the Torugart Pass to Kashgar, then take the Karakoram Highway up to Havelian thus entering into India , Nepal, and then down to the south in search of a boat towards Thailand or Malaysia.

Regarding this last point, there aren't more cargo then the only option is to turn in the main ports in search of a passage from some private craft. Do any of you know anything ?
