I've been delaying my trip around the world to grow a small business and make some bank (per thorn tree advice) and I think I've finally succeeded. I started a production company specializing in instructional dance and fitness dvds, put some on the market, and have recently started collecting cash. Now that they're selling though, it's so hard to get away. Every month it seems there's a new DVD to be made. I know if I don't go soon though I may never go. Maybe I'll have to fly back more often than I wanted to or maybe I can pack a really durable labtop to keep in touch with everyone. Not really sure what I'm doing yet. Oh one more thing. I might reinvest everything I've earned from the company into more DVDs (I might have to because I'm not the only owner). If I have to, can you please recommend some short term income opportunities abroad? Is it realistic to expect to find a waitering job in Europe for example or can I teach English for only one to two months somewhere? Is there a useful site out there that helps arrange work before you've left your own country? Ahh sorry for the twenty questions. Thanks!

I have some advice. Get someone to do your shipping and office stuff here in the States. And in the time before you leave, begin growing a downloadable side to the business where people pay and then download. I have that and it is like FREE MONEY! You don't do anything but make money. And you could get one of those wireless satellite things for your laptop (or get a laptop) so you can run your business on the web from ANYWHERE.
Begin automating your business in any way that you can and there are lots of ways. Google adwords, etc. Try Dan Kennedy for a good sales guru to bolster sales and have enough income to delegate. There are always good people to delegate to, something I, a control freak, finally learned.
Finally, say an affirmation: "I intend to leave and make more money than ever while I'm gone. My trip is grace-filled, easy and fun. I don't work a lot but the business expands while I'm gone. All goes smoothly!"
