I'm working on a plan for a Star Alliance or SkyTeam RTW ticket but I can't figure out where I'm supposed to actually, physically go to buy the thing. I'd prefer a travel agent with some experience with them, compared with just showing up at an airline ticket counter.

I live in Seattle (and if Seattle, of all U.S. cities, doesn't have a travel agent who knows RTW tickets, what's this world coming to?). Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm not sure why Seattle should be particularly good for RTW travel agents (is it cos Boeing are based in Seattle?) but I do know that this city has a couple of branches of STA Travel which is staffed by experienced travellers and offers all sorts of RTW tickets. You can find their branches here [http://www.statravel.com/cps/rde/xchg/us_division_web_live/hs.xsl/find_a_branch.htm]

Try STA travel in U district. there is also a company called justfares.com that is located in seattle. look up www.justfares.com for there phone number. We left seattle (where we curruntly live) two years ago on a rtw and used STA travel, but used the london, England branch and got our ticket there. Look into getting you ticket out of the country as it may be cheaper than getting it here in the states, even with buying a one-way ticket. to your destination. For us it was over 1000 US cheaper getting it in london. We used frequet flyer miles to get to Europe and picked up our ticket in their office. If going to Europe first than try England or if heading west to Asia try travel agents in Bangkok as i here that is also a great place to look. Call around to many agencies and try to get a great price. Plus they could mail you the ticket, so that takes care of physically going to get the tickets.

any questions just ask.
