Thanks a lot Chris! This kind of advice I was looking for. Didn't know for example the mask and snorkel aren't included standard when you hire a diving set. Just copied your clothing set.

I read the topic, I'm doubting about what to do. Think I will just lay out everything I want to take with me and then see in which bag it fits. With the snorkel and mask it will probably be my old big backpack.

Haha, yeah I have a feeling I'm scoring points on this forum with keeping it open ended ;-P

To fulfill the onward flight requirement I think I will book the first 3 flights till SK, and be sure before arriving there I booked a flight out of there and so on. Probably by budget airlines so if I decide to skip a flight and book another no real problem.

Thanks a lot,
Vedder

To take advantage of those budget airlines and the weight limits on carry-on baggage, get yourself a lightweight waistcoat called a 'fisherman's vest'. Look for one with loads of big pockets, which you can then stuff with heavy items (books, shoes, etc) and so avoid the excess baggage charges.
