Hopefully you're leaving soon so we won't have to hear from you again.

Jairo21, there is an 'Experimental Travel' branch here on the TT and your idea would be best suited for that branch. However, I doubt you will find much more support there than on this branch.

Rather than naysay you as I would normally tend to do, I am going to take you seriously if you will in turn take me seriously. Fair enough?

So, first I would like to know what experience of travel you already have and what experience you have of trying to live off the land (or out of restaurant garbage cans if in a city). How much experience of sleeping rough you actually have. In other words, give me some info that would lead me to believe that you are not unprepared and without experience, on which I can then start to think you have any real chance of pulling this off.

If you Google, 'living with no money' you will in fact find plenty of information on how people have and are doing so. However, we also have to bear in mind that you plan to travel at the same time. That means you have to find ways to live without money in each place which is obviously going to complicate things.

While people have posted plenty of sarcastic and naysaying comments, I'm sure you realize where they are coming from. Rather than just ignoring them, try convincing them that you know what you are doing and have at least some knowledge/experience to draw on that would indicate you have more than a 1% chance of pulling this off. If you can do that, you may then start to get ideas from people on how to not spend money, which is why you posted.

For example, I can suggest that in more affluent countries on your list such as Australia, one way to get food is to check the back of supermarkets or go to a bakery right at closing time and simply ask for anything that will be thrown out as stale. You may already have thought of those ideas, my point is that first you have to overcome the impression you are making on posters that you are a nut case (putting it bluntly). Convince us you are not and the responses will change. As it stands now, you are not likely to receive much useful info, you are going to have to work for it, not just ask for it. Get the picture?

I await your response.

In addition, people will take you more seriously if you give evidence of knowing when you can try a visa run and when you have to move on; when and where you need malaria prophylaxis (and what specific kind) and various immunizations; what to do when (not if) you are nipped by a dog, monkey, etc.; how you plan to cover emergency evacuation; whether you are already a freegan; what your experience with hitchhiking is; etc.. See this thread for a sampling of some of the many issues that arise with the type of travel you hope to indulge in.

Got to agree with #24 unfortunately......this guy is just trolling.

4 months ago he was posting the same ridiculous stuff (only that time he was going to North Korea as well)....and he's still sitting at home,'planning'his 'trip'.

Never thought one would put him/herself in a homeless situation. Sleeping on streets, or on benches etc.

Why not get a job, save up some money and then go traveling.

If you are 'western' looking a.k.a Caucasian, and are begging for money anywhere in South America, Africa, India, China, South East Asia, you won't have much luck. As the perception of people in those continents/countries think that white people have lots of money.

To cut to the truth, you will look like a fool, and perhaps you are a fool, and you will realize this when you are attacked by a gang while you sleep on the street, in an alley etc. Somebody might be offended if you beg them for money, as since I said their perception of white people is that they are rich, and you may be beaten up or worse end up in an alleyway somewhere dead.

After checking out the OP's posting history, I have concluded that he is a delusional troll only looking for attention, best ignore him and hope he goes away.

Oh and ... get a job, be useful in someway for gods sake.

I'm going to get a copyright on the phrase 'delusional troll'

Generally you would be regarded as having the copyright by virtue of being the first (we assume) to fix the text in a "tangible form." OTOH #1 I'm not sure you can copyright a 2-word phrase (you could trademark it, but that requires paying fees). OTOH #2 regardless of whether you hold copyright or trademark, it's your headache to defend the intellectual property.
