Hi all Rome & Tuscany specialists
I have run a specialist candle decorating business for 14 years and would love to visit a similar artisan establishment whilst in Rome 27-31 June (or Tuscany during the following week). I imagine that a city like Rome would have several, with all the churches, religious festivals, baptisms/communion/weddings/funerals etc. I see at the Palio in Siena the contradas each carry their own personalised candle in the procession.
Through the internet I've only found a…
We're heading to the Aveyron this fall (Conques, Belcastel & Villefranche de Rouergue), with an additional stay in Figeac. Three market daytrip possibilities present themselves but we are aiming to choose just one. Those markets are Carmaux, Caussade and Caylus. Might anyone have any experience regarding all three? Can you compare? An foodie in the area area raved about the Carmaux market, whereas another person's blog rates Caussade as number One. A rare Qercy pastis dessert is apparently only…
Hi I am presently based in Orleans and considering to visit Amboise and Chenonceaux as a day trip, mostly this Saturday. Would it be too ambitious to plan both is a day? Not really keen to explore inside the castle. Is any one of them seen from outside, then can take entry for the other? Is there option for entry to grounds only? Looking forward to some feedback.
Thanks
Summer of 2020 I want to travel to Valencia with my friend (both female). We will both be 17. I consider us to be mature I've travelled a lot and taken planes alone before but my parents are worried about us being kidnapped... I understand that they are worried but I don't want it to stop me and I am already fluent in Spanish. We want to airbnb a flat, do you think there will be problems finding a place? We want to find volunteer work so my mum suggests a course but we want the freedom. Has…
Hi Everyone
I will be travelling to Greece at the end of this month (June) and have 8 days to get through the islands (plus 2 days in Athens) before I head to Rome for 5 days. I am trying to narrow down the options but they all sound amazing! I am looking for a relaxing beach holiday with an interesting town and most importantly - great food! Natural beauty over historical significance. I am a 26-year old female travelling solo (my first trip to Greece). Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers, folks. My husband and I are leaving a Workaway in Perpignan, France in late July and have a little over a week before beginning another Workaway in the Catalonia area (about 2 hours from Barcelona, don't have the exact location yet). We're interested in spending a few nights in Barcelona, but may also make weekend trips there on our days off from the Workaway instead, we haven't decided.
This is part of our year-long trip (8 months in now) so we're more interested in neat places to…
My understanding is that children may travel free up to two years of age, but does that mean that the child must be held in the adults' laps, or may she occupy a separate seat? What about TGV reservations/seats? I recall that I've seen a seating arrangement with 4 seats clustered around a table.
Hi!
I'm trying to book a multi-destination trip. I would be flying Level, Ryainair and Vueling. I don't have a lot of experience traveling these low-cost carriers as we only recently got those in Canada. I plan to travel with a small backpack (camera equipment + wallet) and a small carry-on suitcase. I seem to be able to add the carry-on suitcase for Ryanair and Vueling but am not sure if I'm allowed a personal item (backpack) for free.
Thanks!
