Where to go for ERUO 2012 final in Salzburg.

Hello,

The day 01.07.12 ERUO 2012 final which I will arrive Salzburg.
I plan to go to Munich to watch it if German makes it to the final, I already posted a question in German forum about this.
However, if it is not the German, I will stay Salzburg to enjoy the final.

I would rather stay outside than in hostel to watch it, so where can I go for it ? will there public screen for this? better off free adminsion!
If no, then where to find some pub / bar for this ? I stay near train station if it’s concern.

There were some public screens last time, when I was by coincidence in Salzburg. One place was the main square in the old town - Residenzplatz - which is under 2km from the train station on the other side of the river. I suppose it is free if you stand somewhere, but most of the place is taken up by tables from the cafes and bars there, and people are sitting down (sometimes standing and shouting) and drinking - and that is not for free. ;-)

Once you are in Salzburg you can ask for other possibilities. The people there will know.

The 2 Irish bars - side-by-side on Rudolfskai - will be showing it, for sure...I watched one of the Lions vs South Africa rugby matches in the Shamrock a few years ago, and, from memory, I think they had a decent big screen in the bottom room...approx 15 minutes form station...

If you happen to be staying in the YOHO hostel then the room beside the bar is a also a good place to watch it, as well...
