Uetliberg-a birdseye view of Zurich

If you are in Zurich and want to see Zurich from atop, take the S10 to Uetliberg from the Zurich HBF (main Train station), walk about 10 minutes up the path. You will get a gorgeous view of the city.

My sister and I were travelling through, and we received a recommendation to go to this place for dinner at night we went during the Winter, and it looked like a Winter Wonderland, the trees looked like they had been spray painted with white, but it was actually snow and ice, it was so beautiful at night.

There is a restaurant at the top of Uetliberg, it is encased in glass and you can look out as well, the food was excellent, I had the ostrich medallions and it was reasonably priced for switzerland.

There is also a sledding trail, that is 3.1km (ca. 2 miles) that you can sled down.

In the Summer it is also a great palce to view the city and eat outside.

If you are in Zurich , it is a MUST !!!

Great advice. You can easily hike for anywhere between one hour and half a day from Uetliberg, if you want to spend more time up there. There are also many other hills with great views.
