My husband and I are looking to do a trip next spring, for 2.5- 3 weeks.
We have never done a trip like this before and really need some guidance!
We would love to do Italy, Greece and maybe a little bit of Turkey.
Would also be interested in doing Portugal Italy Romania And croatia. I understand this isn't a ton of time and of course don't expect to see and learn everything about these places.
Im looking for information on where to go/must see's and also transportation info. Should we be flying country to country? Best ways to get from city to city/town/villages. I want to do some smaller places as well as a few of the typical touristy areas but i don't want to spend all of our time in the larger areas.
Hoping some one can help with a bit of an itinerary as well!
Any little tips and tricks will help.
Also has any one ever booked flights through omio.com ?
Thanks of much.
Explore mentioned cities
You can't 'do' seven whole countries in 2/3 weeks. Think cities (or at least bases to stay), not countries. It's impossible to advise on how to get from place to place until you've decided where to stay.

Welcome to the forum. Three countries in 18-21 days is pretty tight
But you could fly into Rome and have:
- Rome (4 nights)
- Florence (3 nights)
- Venice (3 nights)
Do all your travel by fast train. Then from Venice (Marco Polo) you can fly to Athens, Mykonos, or Santorini - depending on what you wish to get from Greece. Have four nights.
Then travel to Istanbul via Athens I guess, for four nights. If you have an extra 2-3 nights, your options are many ... add a smaller place in Italy (Lucca, Tuscany) or see two Greek places, or stretch you time in Rome.

This was added after I started (and finished) my post. Yes - that's getting kind of over-ambitious indeed.

IMO if you don't know where to go then you haven't done enough research. If I told you where to go and what to see, it would become my trip and not yours. Interests are totally subjective and for such a broad and vague question as yours, google is your friend. Once you begin researching you'll be surprised how much fun it is to start planning. Narrow it down to cities / areas and then come back and ask specific questions.
As far as flights go, the consolidators such as momondo.com, etc are excellent for routing and pricing but I'd always recommend booking directly with the airline if possible.
I think the OP means EITHER Italy,Greece and Turkey or Italy,Portugal etc.
But I agree with friendly_checkingirl
The OP needs to sit down and think about where, what and even when. Spring can me last week of March or mid June. Big difference.
Do you let strangers tell you what foodstuffs to buy when you go to the grocery store? No. Then don't ask strangers to decide where to spend valuable vacation dollars. If you don't know where to go and how to get around, you clearly haven't even begun the real research. Once you've done your menu planning and have a rough plan in mind, people will be happy to help you refine it, but the onus is on you to make the plan.

Don't take it personally OP.
Some of the European-based regulars on here can go completely hysterical if you haven't got everything worked out before you even dream of posting question. Odd but true.
People like me - who don't actually live in Europe, and therefore understand what it means to be a tourist in Europe, and a visitor to a wide range of places the first time - tend to be more generous, and willing to engage.
