spain north asturia cantabria

Hi,
our family is planning a 2 to 3 week camping-trip next august to the north of spain - Asturia, Pais Vasco (Basque country). Can anyone give some suggestions about:

- weather: average temperature, water temperature, how much rain is there in august.....
- nice beaches: especially for small children
- camping grounds

It's the green coast. It can rain at any time. Think Cornwall, but a bit warmer. It can be very nice tho too, pleasant temperatures. There are some excellent beaches along this coast, and nice coastal towns, more in Cantabria and Asturias than in the Basque country. Plenty of campsites.
